چکیده
Abstract The PADME experiment is designed to search for a hypothetical dark photon A ' produced in positron-electron annihilation using bunched positron beam at the Beam Test Facility of INFN Laboratori Nazionali di Frascati. expected sensitivity -photon mixing parameter ? 10 -3 , mass ? 23.5 MeV/ c 2 after collecting ? 13 positrons-on-target. This paper presents detector status commissioning July 2019. In addition, software algorithms employed reconstruct physics objects, such as photons and charged particles, calibration procedures adopted are illustrated detail. results show that experimental apparatus reaches design performance, able identify measure standard electromagnetic processes, bremsstrahlung electron-positron into two photons.

15 صفحه اولCommissioning of the Low Energy Beam Transport
The Front End Test Stand (FETS) at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory is intended to demonstrate the early stages of acceleration (0-3 MeV) and beam chopping required for high power proton accelerators, including proton drivers for pulsed neutron spallation sources and neutrino factories. A Low Energy Beam Transport (LEBT), consisting of three solenoids and four drift sections, is used to trans...
متن کاملPlasma Wakefield Acceleration of a Positron Beam Proposal for an Extension of Experiment E-157 Experimenters
Introduction SLAC experiment E-157 is a study of plasma wakefield acceleration. The experiment was proposed and approved in 1997 with the goal of measuring acceleration by an electron beam-driven plasma wave. This is a proposal to extend these measurements to a positron beamdriven plasma wave where the physics is qualitatively different. There are strong motivations for proposing this extension...

Search for ν τ appearance via neutrino oscillations in the ν µ CNGS beam with the OPERA experiment The OPERA neutrino detector in the underground Gran Sasso Laboratory (LNGS) is designed to realize the first detection of neutrino oscillations in the appearance mode through the study of νµ → ντ oscillations. The apparatus consists of an emulsion/lead target associated to electronic detectors and...
